Final Fantasy Crystalline Lifeline 3

Crystalline Lifeline is a small side quest in Final Fantasy 16. It’s found just after you acquire the Holding On main quest. Clarke, the Fishmonger of Martha’s Rest has dropped a crystal nearby. And since he’s scared that monsters have swallowed it up, Clive is the only man around who could handle it. So let’s go do just that in Crystalline Lifeline in Final Fantasy 16.

Final Fantasy 16: How to complete Crystalline Lifeline

If you’ve yet to start Crystalline Lifeline, head to the southern end of the village. You should see a marker for a side quest, and when you hover over it on the map you’ll see the name Crystalline Lifeline appear. From here, just speak to Clarke to activate the quest. Luckily we don’t need to go very far at all. Clarke conveniently lost his crystal near the pond that’s just behind Martha’s Rest. So head down the nearby ladders and enter the search area marked on the map.

Once you reach the area, you’ll quickly find the monsters you need to dispatch. There will be four Bog Crabs, and though they may look tough, they really aren’t. Clive, Jill, and Torgal should all make quick work of these crabs, like most other mobs in Final Fantasy 16. But if they do pose a threat, maintain some distance and cast spells from afar. You can also equip some of the Timely accessories to give you an extra helping hand.

After the Bog Crabs are finished, you should have the crystal that Clarke needs. Head back up to Martha’s Rest to give the man back his treasure. For your trouble you’ll receive 1,000 Gil, 10 pieces of Wyrrite, and 10 bundles of Magicked Ash. It’s not exactly highly valued treasure, but Crystalline Lifeline is still early on in Final Fantasy 16. And a burgeoning hero sometimes has to make do with a few middling side quests. Be sure to look up the Scholar’s Spectacles if you want to make these quests a little more worthwhile.

Final Fantasy 16 is available on the PlayStation 5.
