Sons of the Forest has several weapon attachments that can give your firearms that extra punch or utility effect. One of these is the Laser Sight, which casts a thin red beam to improve your accuracy. Here’s our guide to help you get the Laser Sight attachment in Sons of the Forest.

Note: For more information, check out our Sons of the Forest guides and features hub.

How to get the Laser Sight in Sons of the Forest

To get the Laser Sight attachment in Sons of the Forest, you’ll need to acquire the Shovel. It’s one of the most important tools in the game since it lets you dig and unearth hidden passageways and areas. It’s going to take you a while before you can obtain it, though, due to several items that you must pick up first. In any case, you can refer to our Shovel location guide if you still haven’t obtained it.

Once you do have the Shovel, you’ll want to head to one of the green markers on the island (seen in the image above). Since the GPS Tracker map rotates depending on the direction you’re facing, let’s just pretend that the helicopter crash and mountains are to the north. The green marker that you’re looking for is west of a cave (the Slingshot is in front of the entrance) and a purple marker (which has the Flashlight).

Upon getting there, you’ll notice a golf cart and a dig site. Use your Shovel to reveal a hatch that you can open. Climb down the ladder and check the room to the right. The Sons of the Forest Laser Sight is on one of the desks. The Maintenance Keycard is also in this room, and it allows you to access other facilities on the island.

In any case, the Sons of the Forest Laser Sight mod can be used on two different firearms:
