Sons of the Forest has several tools that aid you in both exploration and combat. One of these is the Stun Gun, which can incapacitate your foes. However, trying to obtain it can be quite a harrowing experience. Here’s our guide to help you get the Stun Gun in Sons of the Forest.

How to get the Stun Gun in Sons of the Forest

To get the Stun Gun in Sons of the Forest, you’ll likely what to bring the Flashlight with you. While the UV Lighter is still viable, the Flashlight’s beam is brighter, which is really helpful due to the enemies in this area.

In any case, you’ll want to head to one of the island’s coastlines. Let’s say you’re at the helicopter crash site, with the mountains to the west. The beach you’ll want to go to is to the south (as seen in the image below). Follow the coastline as it winds around the cove and you should see the entrance to a cavern.

Related: You can also obtain the Rebreather in this cave.

Follow the glowing lamps in the caverns until you reach a fork (which is bound to be teeming with mutants). Take the fork on the right-hand side and go all the way to the end. You can battle the enemies here, but be wary since there are a lot of them.

Eventually, you’ll spot a red glow coming from the side of the passageway. Near it, you’ll see a corpse hanging from the ceiling. Check it out and you’ll be able to get the Stun Gun in Sons of the Forest. This is a ranged weapon that can incapacitate foes, though it can sometimes feel unwieldy. Anyway, don’t forget to grab the Rebreather as well, as it’s one of the most important tools in the game.

Sons of the Forest is available via Steam.
