One of the most enticing endgame activities in Diablo 4 are the Nightmare Dungeons. If the usual Dungeons don’t impress you, these Nightmare Dungeons are tougher to beat, but provide better rewards. The only problem is that they require a Nightmare Sigil to partake in one, which can be tough to come by. Keep reading to find out how to get Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4.
Diablo 4: Guide to getting and farming Nightmare Sigils
Once you get your first Nightmare Sigil, getting others won’t be as tough. How you can get Nightmare Sigils in Diablo 4 is through completing 10 Grim Favors. Once you receive a Cache as a reward from the Tree of Whispers, there’s a chance to get a Nightmare Sigil. To be able to do Grim Favors, you’ll need to finish the main story, get on World Tier 3, and complete the World Quest that unlocks it.

It may take a few tries, but at some point, you’ll get your first Nightmare Sigil. Once it’s in your inventory, right-click the item, and your map will tell you where to find that Nightmare Dungeon. As a reminder, you can only activate one Nightmare Dungeon at a time. But what about getting and farming other Nightmare Sigils? This item is a common find in Nightmare Dungeons. Basically, getting Nightmare Sigils isn’t a hassle after you get your first one.
How to get and farm Sigil Powder
You’ve probably noticed a type of item called Sigil Powder. This is a type of resource used to craft Nightmare Sigils. After you complete your first Nightmare Dungeon, talk to an Occultist, and they’ll be able to craft Nightmare Sigils for you. You can also break down Nightmare Sigils you don’t want into Sigil Powder.

The best way to farm Sigil Powder is by going through Nightmare Dungeons and grabbing all the Nightmare Sigils and Sigil Powder available. You’ll have plenty of these items to then go to the Occultist to either craft new ones, or break down unwanted ones. Some Sigils are better than others, so get rid of the lower-tiered ones. Also, go for the higher-tiered Nightmare Dungeons for the better rewards.
