How to find rare Unique Grandfather Sword in Diablo 4
Lead Class Designer for Diablo 4 Adam Jackson detailed more information about the six rarest Unique items on Twitter. It’s not so much where, but how you can find the Grandfather Sword in Diablo 4. It will only drop from level 85 or above enemies, which means you’ll probably need to be the same level, as well as on World Tier 4. As also explained in the tweet, the items will always drop at an Item Power level of 820.

Apart from the Grandfather Sword, the five others are the Doombringer sword, Ring of Starless Skies, Andariel’s Visage helm, Harlequin Crest helm, and the Melted Heart of Selig amulet. Because of their rarity, you’ll be one lucky player to even stumble upon any of these items. Nevertheless, if you’re set on trying to get them, I recommend farming Nightmare Dungeons and partaking in Helltide events.
These endgame activities are some of the best methods for getting great loot. There’s no specific area you can get these items, they’re just as random of drops as most gear. One player in particular posted on Reddit a screenshot of a Chinese player whose Necromancer ended up with the Grandfather Sword.

If you’re confused by the player’s level in the screenshot, the player at level 76 was looking at a profile of another player on level 100. Overall, there’s no doubt that having one of these rare items is a feat within itself. Good luck finding your own Grandfather Sword!
